What Happens in Vegas… Stays in Vegas!

Let’s toast to our success! That’s me and marketing millionaire, Alexandria Brown, clinking champagne glasses as we celebrate the amazing meeting we had this week in Las Vegas, Nevada. I can’t remember if I told you this already, but I’m only one of twenty people selected to participate in Alexandria Brown’s 2008 Platinum Mastermind Group.

This is our entire group on the lobby steps of the fabulous Loew’s Lake Las Vegas Resort. Can you find me in the crowd?

This was our second of three meetings where we get together from all over the country to brainstorm new and exciting ways to expand our businesses in an effort to better serve our clients. Ali also inspires us in ways to enjoy richer, fuller, and more compassionate lives! How cool is that?

Yes, we did spend a night out on the town, and saw some pretty incredible things. Can I just tell you about the bouncers at the Mandalay Bay Hotel? Oh, my! I didn’t think it was humanly possible for men to be that big. As they say, “what’s happens in Vegas…” All in all, it was a marvelous evening full of fun and frivolity.

Book Publicity Tips for Authors: Hold Your Audience’s Attention

When I hosted my own television show, I interviewed an author who had written a neuroscience book about how the human brain processes information. At least, that’s what I think it was about. To tell you the truth, the whole subject matter was way over my head. Prior to the interview, I told the author, “I’m sorry but I can’t understand a word of your book. Can you tell me what it’s about in plain English?” He laughed and said, “You know, my 12-year old daughter always tells me the same thing.” I said, “Okay, talk to me like I’m your daughter.” And he did! It was one of the most fascinating interviews I’ve ever had with an author.
