The Best Gift

The Best Gift with Alice Collier

Moving is always a hassle! But, it’s a good time for me to get rid of old stuff. Things I haven’t used in a long, long time. That’s exactly what I’m doing this week as I prepare to move into my brand new home. BTW, I’m truly incognito – far from the sight of any TV cameras as I sport my sons basketball shorts, oversized t-shirts and a pair of worn-out Keds sneakers (sexy, huh?). I’m in serious mover-mode. That has to be my biggest pet peeve. There is absolutely no reason to do that unless you’re a child…or an undergraduate student at a college football game. I think that waving to the camera or any other hand gesture is sophomoric and amateurish. In fact, if I’m interviewing someone and he does that, or someone happens to walk behind him and wave to the camera or do obnoxious “rabbit ears”, I won’t even use that video. It literally ends up on the cutting room floor…and he never gets the media attention he was hoping for. The way you get to be on TV is by becoming media savvy.
